Valerie Denise Jones is a military veteran, filmmaker, documentarian, avid researcher and professional editor whose greatest storytelling tool is curiosity backed by lived experience. She has been paid to edit documentaries, films, social media content and music videos, experience that has taught her how to find the story inside hours of footage and shape it for audiences across screens. Her work has taken her through all 50 states and onto film sets around the world, including periods when her car was also her home, office and production headquarters.

The Cemetery Chronicles asks a hauntingly simple question: Who were they before they became a headstone? Valerie looks beyond the dates carved in stone to investigate the dreams, triumphs, failures and unfinished stories buried with them.

No Fixed Address turns that curiosity toward the living, following people building lives from cars, buses and unconventional homes while smartphones transform survival into visibility, community, income and sometimes influence.

One project searches among the dead. The other follows people still writing their stories. Both investigate what human beings do with the dash between arrival and departure.

Valerie is also entering the next chapter of her own story. She is willing to learn new technology, new techniques and new ways of seeing, and to do the work required to compete at the next level of filmmaking. Experience taught her how to tell stories. Curiosity keeps her from believing she has learned everything. Her camera goes wherever the humanity leads.
